Candy Heart Pouch

Sew Along With Us

I woke up this morning to a sleeping household, lounge room still set up from the kids playing together last night and the kitchen in shambles after dinner last night. So while we don’t do anything special for a day like today, I wanted to give you all a cute gift of another tutorial. And of course, I had to appropriately theme this one.

The Candy Hearts Pouch is available to purchase HERE or if you join the Sincerely Jen Pattern Group on Facebook you can download it for FREE Parts of this tutorial will be taken from the Sincerely Jen Sewing Instructions

What you need: – 13cm x 13cm exterior non-fraying material (cork, vinyl, leather etc) – 13cm x 15cm exterior non-fraying material (this could be contrasting or matching) – 1 KAM snap set and press to set the KAM in place – The sewing pattern (purchase HERE or join the VIP group for a free download)

How to make it:

Trace out the 2 pattern pieces and cut. You’ll end up with one heart and a second heart with an extra growth

Using the templates, mark out where the snap placement is. Pre-poke these with the awl. You can add the snap to the top heart now – but save the flap snap for later

Align the two pieces with the wrong sides together. Clip in place and top stitch all the way around the outside of the shape.

Add the snaps to the pre poked hole on the flap piece

And that’s it! A simple, quick sew that will use up the scraps of vinyl you might have lying around. And why not gift these with some lollies tucked in, or a gift card to your special someone's favourite shop or restaurant?
