Un-Paper Towel

Sew Along With Us

StartFragment

I can’t be the only one that gets frustrated by paper towel and it’s amazing ability to fall apart in your hands. So when a friend asked me if I could make some un-paper towel for her I figured I would whip some up for myself too.

What you need:

  • Towel
  • Fabric (Breakfast Buddies, Willy Milly Creations – get the print I used HERE)
  • KAM Snaps (or velcro)

How to:

Cut out as many squares of towelling and fabric as you want, making sure you have enough pairs (squares are roughly 23cm x 23cm – the size of a piece of paper towel)

With the good sides together, sew around the outside of the squares – make sure to leave a turning hole Turn back through the hole and tuck the raw edges back in and pin close the turning hole

Top stitch the squares, take it nice and slow to make sure that the lines are straight and look nice

Add snaps to the top and bottom of each square, matching the male and female snaps so that they can all connect together (if you’re adding velcro, do the same thing)

Take an old paper towel roll (or if you don’t have one they will still roll) and roll the un-paper towel.
