Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a mother to my beautiful daughter Yasmine , the sweet soul that inspired the name of my studio because my passion for patterns ignited with her arrival to this world. My background is in architecture where I spent most of my time solving design problems that would improve people’s lives and their living space. I carried these skills of problem solving to my print work where I design in collections that tell stories with interesting motifs and layouts.
How long have you been creating your art?
I have always been creative, but I focused on surface design ever since I discovered it around 2 years ago.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from all what nature has to offer, botanicals, animals and spotting cool textures while taking a walk is what brings me joy.
What's the most exciting thing you've seen your art on?
fabric, I get so happy when I see my designs on fabric knowing that makers around the world will enjoy them and create amazing things with them. Wallpaper is another passion of mine, transforming spaces with designs that can bring joy and unite families together in a space that reflects their personalities.
What is your favourite art style at the moment?
I love digital art and watercolors, you can find me drawing on my ipad or painting when my daughter is asleep;)
When you're not creating, what do you get up to?
I get to spend my time with my family and enjoy the outdoors, I love to cook as well so I'm always thrilled to cook new recipes.
