My name is Emily and I am a surface pattern designer. I live in Sydney with my husband and 2 daughters and enjoy the outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family and friends. My design style would be described as bold and colourful and I tend to create my designs with swimwear in mind. Freddy and The Rat is the name of my design business and it comes from my 2 daughters - Freddy after Freddy Krueger (she was a scary baby!) and The Rat - Julia Donaldson's book The Highway Rat was a big favourite in our house and our youngest insisted that she was the rat in the book!
