Care Instructions
To maintain the quality of your Cotton Lycra fabric, we recommend a cold, gentle machine wash with like colours. Use mild detergent and avoid bleach, tumble drying, dry cleaning, or ironing. This care routine helps preserve the fabric’s texture and colour vibrancy.

When it comes to Cotton Lycra, I don’t have a bad word to say! The Cotton Lycra from Cloth Cuts is soft as butter but sturdy enough to hold its shape. It’s such a dream to sew with, it glides through both a sewing machine and overlocker.
The colours are bold and true to website images. The printing is so clear and captures each little detail in the tiles, and it doesn’t lose any image over time. The colours are printed onto a white base, which allows them to be vibrant and crisp.
It has a 4-way stretch and amazing recovery and when stretched it doesn’t go see-through. Plus after countless trips through the washing machine, the fabric still looks as good as it was when first purchased, including no pilling. Cotton Lycra is generally known for its difficulty with curling edges after washing, but this one doesn’t curl anywhere near as much as other brands. This base is sturdy but stretchy allowing it to be used for the main piece of your sewing as well as an option for making cuffs and collars.
When sewing with Cotton Lycra, make sure to remember that all of your stitches will need some ‘give’ in them so as not to lose the stretch of the fabric, so instead of using a straight stitch, try using a zig-zag or a twin needle.
